Portable Golf Solutions opens franchise in Charlotte, North Carolina

BG Golf Inc. intends to market this product to the corporate/conference and trade show market in Charlotte through meeting and event planners. Charlotte is host to many different charitable organizations, foundations and schools with fundraising needs. This will present new opportunities beyond the traditional golf tournament, run or gala.

Bill was raised in Emmaus, PA and took an interest in golf at age 12, after his uncle convinced him to start caddying at a local country club. Bill used his caddie money to buy clubs and took advantage of the opportunity to play on Mondays when the club allowed....that was the start of his career in the golf industry. He graduated with a BA degree in Management Information Systems and played golf at Appalachian State University. After graduation he traded the cubical for greener grass and better scenery.

BilI became a PGA Member in 1996. He has been employed at 3 different private clubs and one teaching facility prior landing at Hillendale C.C. in Maryland in 1998. He spent the last 15 years there in an Assistants role and eventually ascending to the Head Professional position. Bill has been lucky to meet and work with many great people, one of which was Allen Wronowski. Allen is currently the Honorary President of the PGA and Director of Membership and Player Development at Hillendale.

Bill commented:
"Over the last 20+ years in the golf industry, I have had many wonderful experiences. I was a two time Assistant of the Year in the Middle Atlantic PGA Section, have won many different events, played in 5 regional Club Professional Championships, 1 Assistants National Championship, and 1 Regional U.S. Open qualifier. I have been fortunate to caddie for Lee Trevino in a practice round of a Senior Open and have met many key figures in the golf industry. The game of golf has been a passion and a part of my life for a very long time and I look forward to continuing that with PGS. I am excited to bring Portable Golf Solutions to the Charlotte metro area and state of North Carolina."

"After moving to NC, I was researching business opportunities related to golf. I felt I needed a change from the club professional role but wanted to remain around the game I enjoy. I came upon PGS, took the time to visit Bob in Tampa and see it in use at an event. At that point my mind had already started to imagine the true potential of this portable golf course and how it can be used in many different ways. The game of golf is a great game however with recent economic conditions, time constraints and costs associated with the game, the growth of golf has been stagnant. We need to find a way to bring fun back to the game and this portable course can do that. This will be a great family activity for a school, a fun event to break the stress of the corporate world, and a new opportunity for charities to provide events not limited to just golfers. The potential of this course can be used is only limited by the imagination."

Bob Gaudreau-CEO of Portable Golf Solutions is excited to welcome his 1st PGA member to the growing list of PGS Licensees. This group of independent owners now has licensees in: Houston, TX, Atlanta, GA, Los Angeles, CA, Tampa, FL and now Charlotte, NC.

This plan will be accomplished through a low cost purchase of a PGS License for a protected territory and the purchase of a 9 or 18 Hole Portable Putting Course & other unique fresh portable equipment as it becomes available to the marketplace!
